I love being a psychotherapist and feel privileged to be a part of my patients’ lives. I work with adults who are struggling with life transitions, identity building, relationship issues, sexuality, and self-esteem, with the ultimate goal of helping one develop an honest, integrated, and gratifying sense of self. I also work with teenagers and pre-teens who are juggling the many demands of that transitional time. My style is warm, compassionate, non-judgmental, and interactive.
In my office, no subject, thought, or emotion is barred from talking about. I approach therapy as a collaboration, where together we explore one's concerns and experiences with curiosity and openness. While we will typically start with what feels most pressing, we may also address unresolved issues from one’s past that are creating obstacles in the present. Within the safety of a therapeutic relationship, one can cultivate greater self-awareness and emotional flexibility, allowing anxiety and depression to lift and creating space for positive changes in one’s life.
